Hardness testing has been widely used in industry to monitor the quality of materials, due to the simplicity of the methods and the fact that materials generally exhibit a strong correlation between hardness and strength.

Hardness testing gives a measure of the strength of a material, and is based on generating permanent local deformations on the surface of the tested object by pressing another, harder object (called the indenter) into it.

We perform hardness testing to the HL, HB, HRB, HRC, HV and HS scales.

The hardness tests involve the use of a mobile TH-170 type hardness tester.
