Pipeline insulation testing (PJ) Print

Pipeline insulation testing is used to check the anticorrosive coat by the following methods:

  • insulation coat leak testing with porosity detectors;
  • protective coating thickness testing with coating gauges;
  • coating adhesion testing with dynamometers.

Complete protection of pipelines and gas networks is ensured when the anticorrosive coating protects them from aggressive ground waters and stray currents, ensuring they achieve their full operating life.

We perform pipeline insulation quality tests with the use of the following tools:

  • spark porosity detectors (II/RT, P-95, Inspect 35);
  • dynamometers;
  • coating gauges (QuaNix 1500, QuaNix 8500).
