Radiographic testing (RT) Print
Radiographic testing or testing uses X-ray and gamma radiation. The ability to penetrate materials allows the detection of internal discontinuities. The radiation exposes radiographic film, which generates an image of the object in the form of a radiogram. We use both Kodak and Fuji photographic materials, as well as Agfa and Kodak photo-chemical processing machines. We use Sentinel and Gammamat isotope flaw detectors for radiographic testing, featuring both selenium 75 and iridium 192 emitters. The X-ray emitters we use are YXLON Y.XPO 225 lamps. The testing of pipelines of diameters larger than DN 150 utilizes self-propelled isotope crawler flaw detectors fitted with selenium 75 and X-ray lamp emitters.
